TFC Pharmacy & Compounding is an independent, family-owned pharmacy on Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles. We run three service lines from a single shop: specialty compounding, long-term-care pharmacy, and full-service community pharmacy.
Our compounding program is PCAB-accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Our long-term-care pharmacy program is separately ACHC LTC-accredited. Our compounding lab operates under USP <795> non-sterile, <797> sterile, and <800> hazardous-drug standards, with a dedicated hazardous-drug clean-room and independent third-party compound testing.
Most of our patients live within a few zip codes of the shop. Many have been with us for years. We pick up the phone when you call, and we know what your medication is for — in English, Spanish, Armenian, or Russian, depending on what works for you.
We accept Medi-Cal, Medicare Part D, and most major commercial insurance. We're in-network for the plans most of our neighborhood is on; if we're not in-network for yours, we'll tell you before you fill.
Compounded medications are prepared from individual prescriptions and are not FDA-approved drug products.
PCAB-accredited specialty compounding pharmacy. Non-sterile (USP <795>), sterile (USP <797>), and hazardous-drug (USP <800>) preparations dispensed per individual prescriptions. Independent compound testing by a third-party analytical partner. Practice areas include bioidentical hormone therapy, pediatric flavoring, pain management topicals, dermatology, sterile preparations, and veterinary compounding.
ACHC LTC-accredited long-term-care pharmacy. Cycle-fill, multi-dose packaging, daily delivery, e-MAR coordination, and CMS-compliant Drug Regimen Reviews by consultant pharmacist. Direct billing to Medicare Part D, Medi-Cal, and private payers. Serving assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, group homes, and hospice across South LA and the South Bay.
Walk-in community pharmacy on Slauson Avenue. In-network with Medi-Cal, Medicare Part D, and most major commercial plans. Multilingual team — English, Spanish, Armenian, Russian. Local delivery available — call to confirm your address. Walk-in vaccinations.
USP <800>-compliant hazardous-drug clean-room. Containment-primary engineering controls, dedicated equipment, separate documentation chain for HD compounding. Independent third-party verification of compound potency, sterility (where applicable), and endotoxin limits.
One pharmacist answering, not an IVR. If they can't talk now, they'll call you back when they're available. This sounds simple. It is the hardest single thing about running a pharmacy at scale.
The medication is the easy part. The hard part is making sure the patient takes it correctly, can afford it, doesn't have an interaction, and understands what it's for. That's the work we do.
Some compounds we won't make. Some prescriptions we'll refuse to fill. Some patients we'll refer elsewhere. The point of being a pharmacist is having the judgment to say no — and we use it.
Bella is TFC's Pharmacist-in-Charge. She oversees compounding, long-term-care, and community-pharmacy operations and is the clinical reviewer on every new compounding formula. The PIC is the regulatory point of accountability for the pharmacy and the person responsible to the California State Board of Pharmacy for compliance, dispensing practice, and patient care.
Our pharmacists, technicians, and delivery staff are local, multilingual, and stable. Many of our patients work with the same staff member for years. We share the bench — new patient calls, hard compounding consults, and facility coordination all run through licensed pharmacists, not a call-center.
