Cash-pay pricing

When insurance denies a compound — or when paying cash makes more sense than your copay — we quote your price before we dispense. Call with your prescription details and insurance card (if you have one). (323) 348-4205

01

Quote before you fill

We review strength, quantity, and formulation — then give you an exact cash price and an insured copay estimate when applicable.

02

No membership required

No subscription and no discount card required. For high-cost medications we can also help with manufacturer patient-assistance programs.

Call for a quote Book a consult

If insurance denies, we help.

Prior authorizations, appeals, and copay-assistance programs are part of our standard service — not an upcharge. Three things we do for every patient whose claim hits a wall.

01

Prior auth submission

We submit the PA paperwork to your insurer for you. Most decisions back in 3–5 business days. We follow up if they sit on it.

02

Manufacturer copay programs

For brand drugs, we identify and enroll you in available copay cards — when programs exist — which may reduce out-of-pocket cost.

03

Patient assistance referrals

For high-cost specialty meds, we connect uninsured / underinsured patients with the manufacturer's patient assistance program.

Insurance & pricing FAQ

Common questions about how we handle billing, prior authorizations, and out-of-pocket pricing.

Will my insurance cover a compounded medication?

Sometimes. Coverage varies wildly between PBMs and even between plans within the same insurer. We bill your insurance first; if denied, we quote our cash price after reviewing your prescription. Some patients elect to pay cash when that makes sense for their plan.

What if I'm uninsured?

Welcome. Call with a valid prescription and we'll quote our cash price before you fill. For high-cost meds, we can also help with manufacturer patient-assistance programs.

How does pricing work for compounded medications?

Compounded prices reflect three things: the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) cost, the base / vehicle, and the labor to compound. Higher-cost APIs (some BHRT actives, peptides, controlled substances) drive higher prices. We don't mark up beyond the typical compounding industry margin.

How does out-of-pocket pricing work?

Cash and insured prices depend on the drug, strength, quantity, and your plan. We quote before dispensing so you know what you'll pay at pickup. Call with your prescription details and we'll walk through both options.

Do you accept HSA, FSA, or HRA cards?

Yes — directly. Just present the card at checkout. Eligible items include all prescription medications and most OTC items prescribed for a medical condition. We can also provide itemized receipts for reimbursement.

Does insurance cover medical supplies / DME?

Often, yes. Medicare Part B covers walkers, wheelchairs, CPAP supplies, and diabetes monitoring with a prescription. Medi-Cal covers incontinence and some DME with a Treatment Authorization Request — we help submit it. See medical-supplies.html for details.

Can I price-shop a specific prescription?

Yes. Call us with the drug name, strength, and quantity (and your insurance info if you have it). We'll quote both the insured copay and our cash price. No commitment required.

Are there hidden fees, membership costs, or subscriptions?

No membership or subscription fees. Delivery availability and pharmacist consults depend on your plan and location — call to confirm. We can help with prior authorization and copay-assistance paperwork. You pay for the prescription.
