Vulvodynia cream

Topical

Amitriptyline 2% + Gabapentin 6% + Lidocaine 5% · anhydrous base

Use: Provoked or unprovoked vulvodynia. Apply small amount BID. Lower systemic exposure than oral TCA.

Estriol vaginal cream

Vaginal

Estriol 0.5 – 1 mg/g · cream or suppository

Use: Atrophic vaginitis, postmenopausal dryness, recurrent UTI prevention.

Testosterone vaginal cream

Vaginal

Testosterone 0.3 mg/g · cream

Use: Genitourinary syndrome of menopause when estrogens are contraindicated.

Boric acid suppositories

Vaginal

Boric acid 600 mg · vaginal suppository · 14-day course

Use: Recurrent BV and yeast (especially non-albicans). Adjunct or solo therapy.

Combo vaginitis suppository

Vaginal

Boric acid + Metronidazole + Clotrimazole · vaginal suppository

Use: Mixed/recurrent vaginitis when commercial single-agent therapy fails.

Female libido cream

Topical

Testosterone 1% + Sildenafil 1% + Arginine 6% · cream

Use: HSDD and FSAD with localized application. Clitoral or vulvar.

Bi-Est + Progesterone

Topical

Estriol 80%/Estradiol 20% + Progesterone · 1.25 – 2.5 mg/mL cream

Use: Perimenopausal and postmenopausal HRT. Cyclic or continuous.

Progesterone suppository

Vaginal

Progesterone 100 – 400 mg · vaginal suppository

Use: Luteal phase support, threatened miscarriage, ART protocols.

Metformin XR pediatric

Oral

Metformin 100 – 250 mg/mL suspension · flavored, dye-free

Use: PCOS adjunct in adolescents who can't tolerate commercial tablets.

Spironolactone suspension

Spironolactone 25 mg/mL · suspension, sugar-free

Use: PCOS-related hirsutism, adult-onset acne, dose-titratable.

LDN for endometriosis

Naltrexone 1 – 4.5 mg · low-dose capsule

Use: Endometriosis-related chronic pelvic pain. Off-label, growing evidence.

DHEA vaginal insert

DHEA (prasterone) 6.5 mg · vaginal insert

Use: Postmenopausal genitourinary symptoms. Local androgen converts intracellularly.

Are vaginal compounds safe?

Yes, when prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy to a prescriber's specification. We use vaginal-mucosa-appropriate bases, preservative-free where indicated, and pH-balanced for the application site. We are PCAB-accredited; all non-sterile compounds meet USP <795> standards, sterile preparations are made under <797>, and hormone-containing compounds follow USP <800> hazardous-drug containment.

Does insurance cover women's health compounds?

It varies. Compounded estriol and HRT-related preparations are sometimes covered, sometimes not. Vulvodynia and combo creams are usually out-of-pocket. We bill insurance first and quote a cash price up front if denied.

Can these formulas be made for trans patients?

Yes. We compound for both feminizing and masculinizing protocols on prescriber order. Marcus, our specialty Rx pharmacist, leads our gender-affirming care work.

How discreet is your packaging?

All Rx is dispensed in opaque amber containers with standard pharmacy labels — no product descriptions visible on the outside. Delivery is in plain bags, signature required.

Can a patient transfer an existing women's health compound to TFC?

Yes. They can use our transfer form or call (323) 348-4205. We handle the call to the prior pharmacy. Timing varies by pharmacy; we'll keep you updated.
